Samsung Galaxy A36 and A56 Expected to Debut Mid-March 2025

After the launch of the Galaxy S25 lineup, Samsung is gearing up for the release of its next big duo: the Galaxy A36 and A56. Following its usual pattern, Samsung typically releases the Galaxy A3x and A5x series in the first quarter of each year, and it looks like they’re sticking to that schedule for 2025.

According to Abhishek Yadav, a tipster on X, the Galaxy A36 and A56 are expected to launch halfway through March 2025. Samsung is also rumored to tease these devices in February, and as with previous models, we can expect a global announcement from day one.

Design and Features

The leaked CAD renders give us a first look at the design of the Galaxy A36. Notably, Samsung is revisiting a more classic design, moving away from individual camera lenses to a single, unified glass module. This design choice reminds us of the A50 and A70 from 2019.

Despite the throwback in camera design, the A36 and A56 will still feature modern flat edges and premium AMOLED displays, keeping up with current trends.

Expected Specs

While official specs are still under wraps, rumors suggest the following:

  • Galaxy A36:

    • Display: A 6.64-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution.
    • Fingerprint Sensor: Integrated under the display.
    • Front Camera: A 12 MP camera in a punch-hole design.
    • Processor: Likely to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
    • Battery: A 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.
    • Operating System: Running on Android 15.
  • Galaxy A56:

    • Processor: The Exynos 1580 chip, which performs similarly to the Snapdragon 888 (a former flagship chip).
    • RAM: Up to 12 GB of RAM (confirmed by Geekbench).
    • Charging: Fast charging boosted to 45W, doubling the speed of the A55’s 25W.

What’s Next?

If these rumors are accurate, the A36 will offer a solid performance at an affordable price point, while the A56 will take things up a notch with more powerful specs, including the new Exynos chip and higher RAM options. We’ll continue to track updates on the Galaxy A36 and A56, so stay tuned for more information as we approach their official launch in March.
