Samsung is planning to expand its Galaxy A series soon, likely in March. The new models, Galaxy A36 and A56, are expected to be launched, with many rumors circulating about their specs, especially for the Galaxy A36. Recently, we got a lucky update from Geekbench, which revealed some details about the Galaxy A36.

The model number SM-A366U refers to the American version of the Galaxy A36 5G. According to Geekbench, we now know the phone’s performance, the processor it uses, RAM, and the Android version it will run.

In the Geekbench tests, the Galaxy A36 scored 967 points in the single-core test and 2750 points in the multi-core test.

Powerful Processor
These results are possible thanks to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip. It has four high-performance cores that run at 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz. Although the exact name of the chip is not mentioned in the Geekbench listing, it clearly matches the specs of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.

RAM and Software
The Galaxy A36 used for testing had 6 GB of RAM. It will run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7. This version of One UI will start with the Galaxy S25 series, and future Galaxy phones will likely use the same software.

Other Rumored Specs
The details end there, but rumors suggest the Galaxy A36 will have a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera on the back. The front camera is expected to be upgraded, but no details have been confirmed yet. The expected price of the Galaxy A36 is around $400 (~PKR 111,000).
