Galaxy S25 Series Launch Coming Soon

The launch of the Galaxy S25 series is just a few weeks away, and we’re starting to see important details about the phone. Recently, we spotted the Galaxy S25+ in a leak that reveals a major design change.

Leaked Images of Galaxy S25+

The Galaxy S25+ has gone viral with images showing the front, back, and side of the phone.

  • Front Image: The front shows the model number "SM-S936U," which is the US version of the Galaxy S25+.
  • Back Image: The back image shows a typical Samsung design with a vertically stacked three-lens camera.

Unexpected Side Cutout

The most interesting part of the leak comes from the side image. The Galaxy S25+ has three cutouts on the right side of the frame:

  1. A cutout for the volume buttons.
  2. A cutout for the power button.
  3. A third cutout, which at first glance looks like a camera button.

What is the Third Cutout For?

Reports suggest that the third cutout is not a camera button, but an antenna for 5G mmWave. This antenna will help improve the phone's 5G network speeds, especially in the USA, where 5G networks use high bandwidth and low latency between 24GHz and 100GHz.

iPhone Comparison and the Future of SIM Cards

Similar to iPhone models from the iPhone 14 onwards, which no longer have physical SIM cards in the US and rely only on eSIM, the Galaxy S25+ might also remove the physical SIM card slot in the US. Instead, it will likely use the eSIM technology for connecting to networks.
