Sony is introducing a fresh array of colors for its PlayStation 5 console, unveiling the captivating Deep Earth Collection. This new lineup takes its inspiration from the alluring and potent hues discovered deep within our planet. The collection boasts three distinct colors: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.
Volcanic Red presents a lush, more vibrant shade than its predecessor, the Cosmic Red set, with a delightful metallic finish, imparting a glossy allure. Cobalt Blue, on the other hand, delves deeper into the color spectrum than the previously unveiled Starlight Blue, incorporating subtle hints of purple into its composition. Like Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue sports an enticing metallic finish. Lastly, Sterling Silver stands as a sleek and uncomplicated shiny silver, harmonizing with the metallic finish that characterizes the other two shades.
However, it's important to note that, akin to the prior color options, the Deep Earth Collection will exclusively be available as optional covers and controllers for current owners. Regrettably, acquiring a brand-new PS5 console in these captivating colors is not an option.
For those eager to adorn their PS5 with these alluring shades, the optional covers are priced at $60 each, while the DualSense controllers bear a price tag of $75. Pre-orders for these enticing additions commence on October 4. The Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue options will hit the market on November 3, 2023, followed by the Sterling Silver variant making its debut on January 26, 2024.
