Realme 10 Pro+

Realme has expanded its 10 series with two new phones, the Realme 10 Pro and the Realme 10 Pro+, which are upgrades to the vanilla Realme 10. Among the three, the Realme 10 Pro+ brings many novelties to be considered a proper sequel to the successful Realme 9 series. The phone has an updated design, a better display, a more powerful chipset, an improved camera, and a slightly faster charging speed than the Realme 9 Pro+.

The Realme 10 Pro+ comes with a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and thanks to the native 10-bit color depth, it can show over 1 billion colors. The 360Hz touch response will be appreciated by gamers, while the HDR10+ certification will come in handy when streaming videos. The AMOLED also supports automatic 2160Hz high-frequency dimming, the highest in the industry. Realme promises a maximum brightness of 800 nits, which is an improvement over the 600 nits on the 9 Pro+.

The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, 500mAh more than the Realme 9 Pro+, and supports 67W SuperVOOC wired charging. The phone ships with the said power adapter and proper cable, and Realme advertises a 50% charge in 17 minutes. In testing, the phone captured 53% charge in just 15 minutes, even faster than what Realme promised.

The Realme 10 Pro+ uses the brand new Dimensity 1080 5G chip, up from the Dimensity 920 5G inside the Realme 9 Pro+. The new chipset hosts a faster CPU and improved image processing performance. Realme UI 4.0, the latest version of Realme's custom UI, runs on top of the latest Android 13. The battery optimizations, new media controls, color customizations, and privacy updates, among other improvements, are implemented in the new custom UI version.

The 67W SuperVOOC wired charging is fast and convenient, and the new Dimensity 1080 5G chip offers improved performance. The phone runs on the latest Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0, which brings many new features and improvements to the table.

The Realme 10 Pro+ faces stiff competition from various other smartphones in its price range. One of the most notable competitors is the Samsung Galaxy A53, which has a fully waterproof design and better cameras. The Poco F4 also poses a significant threat with its flagship-grade Snapdragon 870 5G chipset, optical stabilization for its main camera, and IP53-certified glass body. The OnePlus Nord 2T is an alternative that prioritizes performance and features a 50MP OIS primary camera. Finally, the Motorola Edge 30 Neo offers an excellent rear camera with a 64MP OIS primary and a 13MP ultrawide shooter with AF capabilities, but with a less powerful Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and a shorter battery life.
