The highly anticipated Redmi K70 is reportedly approaching its launch, as leaked renders have surfaced online, offering the first glimpse at its design. These renders depict a white color option for the smartphone and highlight a hole-punch cutout on the display. The screen appears to have slightly thick bezels as well.
The leaked images showcase the handset with a triple rear camera unit accompanied by an LED flash. The Redmi K70 is expected to succeed the Redmi K60, which was officially released in December 2022.
Tipster Anvin @ZionsAnvin has shared renders showcasing the purported Redmi K70 in a white shade. The rear camera bump on the new handset is noticeably different compared to the Redmi K60. Three sensors, along with the LED flash, are arranged in four individual square-shaped modules on the rectangular-shaped camera island. In the older model, the three cameras were positioned in a line.
On the front of the phone, a centrally placed hole-punch cutout houses the selfie shooter, and the display appears flat with slim bezelsThe Redmi K70 seems to feature a power button and the volume rocker on the left spine. The power button also appears to double as a fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi K60 series was introduced in global markets outside China as the Poco F5. It is, therefore, speculated that the Redmi K70 could be rebranded as the Poco F6 when it eventually arrives in Europe, India, and other markets. However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any details about the Redmi K70 series yet. Therefore, these details should be considered with caution.
The Redmi K60 was launched with a starting price of CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 30,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It boasts a 6.67-inch 2K (1,440x3,200 pixels) AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It features a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The device is backed by a 5,500mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging.
