Oppo has announced its latest A-series device in China, the Oppo A2. The new phone shares most of its key specs with the Oppo A2X and Oppo A79, which were recently launched in China and India, respectively.
The Oppo A2 has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front-facing camera has been upgraded to 8MP, while the rear camera setup now consists of a 50MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Under the hood, the Oppo A2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The phone runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 on top and has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Other features of the Oppo A2 include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP54 dust and splash resistance, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone comes in black, green, and purple colors and starts at CNY 1,699 (around $232) for the 12/256GB variant. The 12/512GB model is priced at CNY 1,799 around $246. Open sales in China start on November 6.
