The iQOO brand is set to unveil its Neo9 series smartphones next month, as hinted in an official teaser shared on Weibo. The teaser image showcases the overall design of the upcoming lineup, featuring a dual-camera setup housed within two circular cutouts on the rear panel.
Interestingly, the hero color variant boasts a unique two-toned design, combining woven fabric in White with a leather-textured finish in Red. While the teaser suggests the use of actual fabric and leather, it's more likely that both materials are simulated using high-quality plastic.
This official teaser aligns with previous rumors circulating online, which suggest the Neo9 series will feature a 6.78-inch display with a 1220p resolution. Additionally, the Neo9 is expected to employ a Sony IMX920 sensor for its primary camera, while the Neo9 Pro model is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Historically, the Neo series has incorporated a triple-camera setup. However, with the previous Neo8 lineup, vivo opted to remove the macro sensor, settling for a dual-camera configuration.
This decision aligns with the Neo series' positioning as iQOO's mid-range offering, a step above the Z series but not as powerful as the flagship number series.
