Infinix, the Hong Kong-based brand, is stepping up its game in the budget smartphone segment with the Infinix Note 10. Priced at Rs. 26,000 onwards, Infinix Note 10 comes in two variants: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It enters the fiercely competitive market, taking on rivals like Redmi Note 10, Realme 7i, Samsung Galaxy M12, and Moto G30. Let's delve into its features and performance.

Design and Display:

The Infinix Note 10 boasts a gradient finish back panel with a stripes pattern, giving it a premium look. The rectangular rear camera module adds to its appeal. The phone's large 6.95-inch IPS LCD Super Fluid display offers a full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2460 pixels).

However, it lacks a high refresh rate, featuring only a 60Hz panel. The display is responsive but may not satisfy users accustomed to smoother 90Hz displays. The Infinix Note 10's size might be too large for some users, affecting one-handed usability.

Performance and Battery Life:

Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and up to 6GB RAM, the Infinix Note 10 handles day-to-day tasks and gaming with ease. The phone tends to heat up during gaming, but it does not affect performance. Its most impressive aspect is its battery life, offering over a day of heavy usage and more than 48 hours of backup with light to moderate usage.

Software and UI:

While the performance is acceptable, the user experience is affected by the Android 11-based XOS 7.6 UI. The phone comes with a lot of bloatware and unnecessary UI features that may be frustrating for users. There are many ads and notifications turned on by default, making the UI experience a little unpleasant.

Camera Capabilities:

The Infinix Note 10 features a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel telephoto lens. While the camera clicks usable shots in well-lit environments and indoors, it may not be the best for smartphone photography. The front camera is decent but may not impress with image quality. The phone can shoot up to 2K videos at 30fps, delivering decent video quality for social media posting.

Verdict:

The Infinix Note 10 stands out with its Made in India pitch and attractive design. It offers acceptable performance but may disappoint with its cluttered UI, lack of a high refresh rate display, slower charging speed, and absence of a wide-angle camera.

However, if you seek a smartphone with a massive display real estate, the Infinix Note 10 could be a good fit. Keep in mind the trade-offs and competition while considering this budget device.
