Poco F6 shows up with SD 8s Gen 3 chip, Poco F6 Expert follows with a SD 8 Gen 2

The Poco F5 and F5 Pro were popular mid-range phones last year, known for their great performance and display quality. Despite some issues, they offered excellent value for money.

Now, Xiaomi is introducing the F6 series, which improves on the F5's weaknesses.

Poco F6

The Xiaomi Poco F6 has a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This new chip, made with a 4nm process, uses the latest Cortex-X4 and Adreno 725 for better performance than the F5’s 7+ Gen 2 chip.

The base model still comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but now you can upgrade to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The F6 has a better display too. It has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color, and Dolby Vision. The screen's resolution is higher, around 1200p+, and it gets very bright, with a peak brightness of 2,400 nits.

The F6 is more durable with an IP64 rating (up from IP53) and Gorilla Glass Victus (up from Gorilla Glass 5).

The camera hasn't changed much. It has a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 20MP selfie camera (up from 16MP). The 8MP camera is the same as last year.

The F6 comes in black, green, and titanium colors. It has stereo speakers but no 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include NFC (depending on the region) and an IR blaster.

Charging is faster with 90W wired charging (charger included), up from 67W, and the battery remains at 5,000mAh.

Poco F6 Pro

The Poco F6 Pro is the premium model. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which has a better GPU and faster CPU speeds than the F6’s Snapdragon 8s. Compared to the F5 Pro’s 8+ Gen 1 chipset, this is a significant upgrade.
