Samsung has surprised users by releasing the long-awaited Android 14 update with One UI 6 for the Galaxy A14 LTE variant. This comes after the 5G model received the update earlier, leaving LTE users eagerly anticipating their turn.
The update, with firmware ending in BWK8, also includes the November 2023 security patch. While currently available only in Kazakhstan, a wider rollout is expected soon.
The Galaxy A14 is one of the first devices to receive the Core version of One UI 6, which is a lighter software experience designed for low-end smartphones. This means a streamlined feature set compared to the full One UI experience.
To download the update once it becomes available in your region, simply navigate to Settings > Software update on your phone. Once downloaded, tap install and your phone will reboot, welcoming you to the latest Android experience.
The update complements the Galaxy A14's overall specifications well. The phone boasts a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, offering excellent value for its price point.
