Vivo first introduced the Y29 as a 5G smartphone with a Dimensity 6300 chip in December. At that time, its arrival in Pakistan seemed unlikely. However, there’s good news now! A 4G version of the Vivo Y29 has unexpectedly launched in Bangladesh, increasing the chances of a Pakistani release soon.
If Vivo plans to expand the Y29 4G to more markets (which it usually does), Pakistan could be one of the next destinations. Now that its features and specifications are officially revealed, here’s a look at what this phone offers.
Design & Display
The Vivo Y29 4G features a fresh design with a large camera module on the back. It comes in Noble Brown and Elegant White, with a matte rear panel and glossy side rails that give it a premium look.
On the front, it has a 6.68-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ (720p) resolution. While the resolution isn’t the sharpest, the display offers 1000 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother viewing experience.
Durability & Performance
This phone is IP64-rated, making it resistant to dust and water. It also features MIL-STD-810H certification, meaning it has a durable Anti-drop Armor Design to protect against shocks.
Unlike the 5G variant, the Y29 4G runs on Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15. It also gets a larger 6500mAh battery, though the 44W fast charging speed remains the same as the original.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 685 processor, which runs at 2.8GHz. It comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB to 256GB storage, ensuring smooth multitasking.
Cameras & Other Features
- Rear Cameras: 50MP (main) + 2MP (depth)
- Front Camera: 8MP selfie shooter
- Extras: AI camera features, dual speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor
However, the phone does not include NFC or a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Expected Price in Pakistan
The official price of the Vivo Y29 4G is $165 (~PKR 46,000). If Vivo launches it in Pakistan, the price is expected to remain in the same range.
