Samsung unveiled its latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, at its recent Unpacked event, and while the device is yet to hit retail stores globally, pre-orders have already begun in Pakistan and other regions. The S25 Ultra comes with a mix of software upgrades and subtle hardware improvements, but one area where it shines is its display, addressing two major flaws that plagued its predecessor, the S24 Ultra.
While the S25 Ultra retains the same M13 OLED display panel as the S24 Ultra, with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, Samsung has made significant improvements to enhance the user experience. According to renowned leaker Ice Universe, the S25 Ultra has resolved the grainy effect issue that was noticeable on the S24 Ultra at lower brightness levels. This problem was first highlighted by NoteBookCheck, which pointed out that the S24 Ultra’s anti-reflective coating, while innovative, caused visual inconsistencies in dim lighting.
Ice Universe shared a comparison image on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing the S25 Ultra alongside the S24 Ultra, Oppo Find X8, and OnePlus 13. The image clearly demonstrates how the S25 Ultra eliminates the grainy effect, delivering a cleaner and more refined display.
Another improvement is the smoother color transition on the S25 Ultra. The S24 Ultra exhibited noticeable gradient lines when shifting between colors, which was a significant drawback for a flagship device. The S25 Ultra, however, handles color transitions seamlessly, offering a more polished visual experience.
In addition to these display enhancements, the S25 Ultra features the new Ceramic Gorilla Glass Armor 2 with an improved anti-reflective coating. This upgrade not only enhances durability but also addresses concerns about the S24 Ultra’s coating, which reportedly began peeling off after six months of regular use.
With these fixes, the Galaxy S25 Ultra proves to be a worthy upgrade for users who prioritize display quality. Pre-orders for the device are now open in Pakistan, with an early bird promotion offering the 12GB/512GB variant for Rs 439,999/- until February 20.
